We have 20+ experiences on these CD players, you can ask us if you have any questions. However, this kit doesn't 100% fix your CD players (please be reasonable as these players are old age. And there are many reasons for it to develope faults. Having said that, mostly it is due to the laser lens ( about 90%) damaged/burnt/weakened.

CD Player repair tips

1. This repair kit does not guarantee a 100% success rate for repairs, as CD players may have multiple issues, including errors, damages and wear&tear due to age.

2. This kit includes the parts most commonly needed for repair, making it possible for users with limited technical skills to perform replacements.

3. A soldering iron is required to activate the laser lens. Most laser lenses are short-circuited with a protective solder bridge, which you'll need to melt to disconnect the circuit. Some users ask us to desolder this bridge in advance; however, it is a protective feature for the laser, so we cannot perform this step beforehand.

4. When removing the data ribbon, check the finger pins carefully. They are fragile and cannot withstand repeated pulling and reconnecting. It's best to replace the lens with a new one if the pins are damaged visibly.

5. CD players displaying a “no disc” error have a higher chance of being repaired with this kit. However, a “no play” error typically indicates issues with mainboard, servo controller, or others, which this kit cannot address.

6. Do not apply any lubricant to the gears or belt.

7. Some pickup lenses come with adjustable components. Please avoid making any adjustment, as they are pre-adjusted for optimal performance and durability.

8. Most CD-players are over 20+ years old, so while this kit represents the best attempt to repair them, we cannot guarantee it will rescue every player. For technical assistance. please contact us (check the manual)
   

9. Remember to desolder the solder bridge on the pickup lens.
